In the face of the many changes in our community in response to the coronavirus pandemic, we begin live-streaming services this week. The worship bulletin is designed for at-home personal worship as a stand-alone document, or in conjunction with the livestream services. To view the livestream services, go to facebook.com/RCFirstUCC/videos. Live-streaming begins at our usual worship time of 9:30 am on Sunday mornings. Videos will be available following the service at the video tab on this website, on our Facebook page, and on our YouTube channel.

The First Sunday of Lent is a time for worshipers to reflect on the chances they want to make in their lives. As we consider Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness, we find courage to face our own wildernesses. The worship liturgy contains the celebration of Communion. Our worship bulletins also contain prayer requests, celebrations, church news, announcements, calendars, mission moments, and much more.

Transfiguration is the last Sunday before the beginning of lent and a time to remember Jesus taking his disciples up to the mountain and being transfigured before their eyes and talking with Moses and Elijah. This dynamic story provides the foundation for our worship. In addition to worship notes, our bulletin contains prayer concerns, announcements, mission moments, and much more.

Our Annual Meeting will be this week, with the usual business of caring for our congregation. Our worship on the third Sunday after Epiphany is crafted to help members prepare for not only the meeting, but also for the year that is to come. Together we listen to Jesus’ call to his disciples and seek our own calls to be disciples. Our bulletin contains worship notes, music, scriptures, prayer requests, announcements, mission moments and much more.
